Mary Hatcher, Executive Director
My academic background includes nursing and not-for-profit management. The position of Executive Director of Parkinson Society Maritime Region (PSMR) allows me to actively support a cause I believe in and to use my skills and knowledge to help PSMR to become a strong, sustainable organization. It is an opportunity to learn from others – Board, volunteers and staff - and to develop relationships that will help us to grow our capacity to help those living with Parkinson’s in the Maritimes. I really do believe that together, we do make a difference.
In my volunteer life I am a WAGGGS (World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts) Trainer and Provincial Arts Specialist. I am learning to put balance in my life and finding ways to play with children is a wonderful change from working in the area of charities and health care. My husband and I love to travel and are enjoying living in the Maritimes after 30 years in Alberta. The western pull is still strong; our daughter, son-in-law and small grandson live in Lethbridge.
